Peter Schmitz  Founder & President

Peter Schmitz was a 2 time All American (1st and 3rd Team) for the University of Massachusetts and an 8 year veteran professional player for the Boston Blazers of the National Lacrosse League.  He has been inducted into the New England and, Long Island & NY Metro Hall of Fames.  Founder of East Bay Lacrosse and the Metacomet Select Lacrosse Programs as well as Past President of Rhode Island Lacrosse.

Michael Daly  Director of Coaching

Michael Daly (UNH ‘90) most recently served as UNH's Head Women's Lacrosse coach (from 2009-2012) becoming the eighth head coach in the 34-year history of the program. Daly led the Wildcats to marquee program victories against BU in 2011 and vs. nationally-ranked Vanderbilt in 2012 while finishing with an 8-8 record in 2011 and coaching the young Wildcats to the America East championship tournament for a record 14th consecutive time. In his first season at the helm in 2010, Daly guided the Wildcats to a 10-7 overall record. The 'Cats opened the 2010 season with four consecutive wins, including a defeat of intrastate rival Dartmouth College for the first time since 1991, to climb as high as No. 15 in the IWLCA national poll and mark the best UNH start since 1989. New Hampshire recorded 100 total assists for just the second time in program history. Daly also served as UNH's top Assistant Coach in 2008 helping lead the Wildcats to a top 15 ranking and helping the team earn an at-large bid to the 2008 NCAA tournament. Prior to the 2007-08 year at UNH, Daly was head coach at Stonehill College (Easton, Mass.), where he compiled a 140-27 record in nine seasons and was named IWLCA Division II National Coach of the Year three times (1999, 2003, 2005). He led the Skyhawks to the Division II national championship in 2003 and 2005 – and a runner-up finish in ’02 – as part of a seven-year span in which the team advanced to the semifinals five times. Daly guided Stonehill to nine consecutive conference regular-season titles (1999-2007), which included eight undefeated league marks, and eight straight conference tourney championships (2000-07). As a result of his program’s excellence, Daly was honored as Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year a total of six times, including the 2002 through 2006 seasons.
 
In addition to overseeing every aspect of the women’s lacrosse program at Stonehill, Daly held the title of Assistant Director of Athletics at Stonehill College and as such he directed, scheduled and staffed all athletic facilities for practices, competitions, special events, fundraising activities and NCAA tournament events; and administered the equipment, facilities and capital budget. Furthermore, Daly served as an academic advisor and was also involved with the NCAA Lifeskills program and SAAC. Daly earned a B.A. in Communication and Business Administration at UNH in 1990, then received a master’s degree in Sport Management ('94) and MBA (‘96) from Northeastern University, as well as a certification in Sports Psychology from the University of Southern Maine ('02).

Emily Abbood  Coaching Staff

Emily plays Division I lacrosse at the University of California, Berkeley “Cal Bears”.  She played lacrosse throughout her college career. She was captain of her team in 2011 and earned All-Academic Honors in their conference MPSF ’09 and ’10.  Prior to attending U. Cal she attended Moses Brown School  where she played soccer, ran indoor track, lacrosse, and ice hockey, earning varsity letters in all sports all four years. Emily earned All State (RI) Honors all four years in lacrosse and was an All-American in her senior year.  Emily played for CTLF (Connecticut Lacrosse Futures) for four years and played for the Lower New England team in her freshman year of high school in the US Lacrosse Women’s Division National High School Tournament.

Alx Briody  Coaching Staff

Alex Briody plays attack for Bates College, a Division III school in Maine that is a part of the NESCAC conference. She played four years of varsity lacrosse at St. Mary Academy Bay View, where she was captain her junior and senior year. She was named to First Team All-State her junior and senior years, and was named a US All-American her junior year. She was also named to ESPN's The Rise Top 25 Juniors to Watch in 2011. Alex played for the Metacomet Lacrosse throughout high school. 

Becky Bracken  Coaching Staff
 
Becky plays Division III lacrosse at Smith College where she is majoring in neuroscience. In her first year at Smith she earned MVP and 2nd team All-NEWMAC honors and was the team’s leading goal scorer. Prior to attending Smith College, she attended Barrington High School where she played soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and swam, earned varsity letters in all sports. Becky earned Academic All American and All Tournament Team for field hockey and was a four year starter and senior captain for lacrosse. In addition to All State her junior and senior years and All Division her freshman and sophomore years, she received Academic All American her junior year and All American honors her senior year for lacrosse. In her senior year she was the recipient of the Ray Beiber award and MVP. Becky played for Metacomet lacrosse for four years. 

Chloe Schmitz  Coaching Staff

Chole is 2008 graduate of Moses Brown School where she earned two All-American honors while playing for the Quakers. She was captain and Most Valuable Player of her 2008 State Champion team and was first team All-State her junior and senior year. She went on the play for Union College where she was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week after her first game. After her freshman year she transferred an played for University of North Carolina, where she recently graduated from. This will be her fourth year helping out with Metacomets. 

Meghan Getsinger  Coaching Staff

Meg played midfield for the women's lacrosse team at St. Lawrence University.  She was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team in '03, '04, '05.  Meg is the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach and the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Rocky Hill School. 

Becca Gasperoni  Coaching Staff

Becca played four years of varsity lacrosse for Barrington High School and was team captain her junior and senior year.  Headed to Colorado College to play lacrosse at the collegiate level, she was named to the 2011 Providence Journal All State team and was an All-American her junior year.  Becca was a Metacomet Lacrosse player throughout her high school career.

Mark Lubic  Coaching Staff

Mark Lubic is Varsity Co-Head Coach at Narragansett High School. He has been coaching with youth and Middle school and high school level teams. He holds Level 1 & Level 2 Women’s Lacrosse coach certified through US lacrosse and Accredited Interscholastic Women’s Lacrosse coach through the National Federation of High School Coaches Association.  He was President of Ursinus College club lacrosse team while he was junior and senior.

Samantha Regini  Coaching Staff

Samantha is a freshman at Shenandoah University. She is starting defensive player for the division III Hornets. Samantha had played lacrosse with the Metacomets for the past five years. She was senior year captain and starter for the East Greenwich Avengers for four years. Her junior year she was given hororable mention for all conference and her senior year was all conference. 

Mackenzie Reimer  Coaching Staff

Mackenzie has played four years of varsity lacrosse at Moses Brown and was team captain her senior year. She was named to the Providence Journal All-State Second Team and All-Academic Team last year and is a certified US Women's Lacrosse official. She will be attending Colby College in Maine where she will be playing lacrosse. Mackenzie played with Metacomets throughout her high school career.

Kaz Yamada  Vice President & Goalie Coaching Staff

Kaz Yamada started his lacrosse career at Northfield Mount Herman in 1975 and continued to collegiate club career. He has been coaching lacrosse at the youth, middle school and high school levels. He has been coach for Rocky Hill School School since 2000. Kaz Specialized in goalie training for the club.
